Classes and Courses available 2009

Open Hatha classes

Open classes are all drop-in's and open to everybody. They have students of varied experience. Beginners can join in with these classes, but it is recommended that they first join either Nadia's or Mariette's beginners class to learn the basics.

Drop-in Hatha class cost £12 per individual class or £100 for a ticket of 10 classes that can be used over the year.

Tickets are interchangeable between Angus and Nadia's open classes on Mondays and Wednesdays at Chatham Hall.

Beginners Courses
The classes cover the 12 main postures of Sivananda yoga (asanas), Pranayama (breathing techniques), an introduction to Surya Namaska (the sun salutation), and meditation. It is suitable for complete beginners and provides an excellent start to the practice.

Intermediate Hatha Courses
These courses provide much more intimate and detailed instruction and are a natural evolution for keen students. They will allow you to go much deeper into all aspects of your yoga; pranayama, meditation, and ethical considerations. These need to be booked and paid for in advance. They typically run for up to a 12 week period. Missed classes can be redeemed at Angus' Open classes at Chatham Hall.

Meditation (Raja) Courses

There comes a time for many Hatha Yoga students when they wish to go deeper into their Yoga practice. Raja yoga is that natural progression. Lead by Angus, the group explores practical skills in how to apply the wisdom of yoga in daily life; bringing more harmony to relationships, work and the home. Email Angus for further details.

“The friend who can be silent with us in a moment of despair or confusion, who can stay with us in an hour of grief and bereavement, who can tolerate not knowing... not healing, not curing... that is a friend who cares.”
